You're going to build a world.
A brand adventure campaign for creative women who are bored with their brand and ready to build one that actually books clients, pays well, and doesn't make them want to quit every six months.
You open Instagram to figure out what to post. You scroll for twenty minutes looking at what everyone else is doing. You close the app without posting anything. You do this three times a week.
You sit down to write a caption. You write the real version — the one with the actual opinion, the specific story, the thing that sounds like you. You read it back. You make it safer. You post the watered-down one. You feel nothing. You wonder why it didn't connect.
You've had the same "update my bio" tab open for three weeks. You keep closing it because you genuinely don't know what to write anymore.
You see someone else post something and think I had that idea. You didn't post it because it felt off-brand. Their version got thousands of saves.
You add "fix website" to your list for the fourth month in a row. (It's fine. We've all done it.)
You've said yes to clients you knew weren't your people because at least they were clients. You did the work. They were happy. You were fine.
You open Instagram to figure out what to post. You scroll for twenty minutes looking at what everyone else is doing. You close the app without posting anything. You do this three times a week.
You sit down to write a caption. You write a banger of an opnion, some weird connecting story, the thing that sounds like you. You read it back. You make it safer. You post the watered-down one. You feel nothing. You wonder why it didn't connect.
You've had the same "update my bio" tab open for three weeks. You keep closing it because you genuinely don't know what to write anymore.
You open your own website. You wince. You close the tab. You add "fix website" to your list for the fourth month in a row.
You see someone else post something and think I had that idea. You didn't post it because it felt off-brand. Their version got thousands of saves.
You've said yes to clients you knew weren't your people because at least they were clients. You did the work. They were happy. You were fine. Fine is exhausting.
Something shifted. Maybe gradually, maybe all at once. But the brand you're operating from belongs to a version of you that already left. The offers made sense then. The messaging felt true then. And now none of it does.
You've been trying to fix it by tweaking the surface — new colors, new bio, new content strategy. But the foundation is built around someone who no longer exists. No rebrand is going to fix that.
The only way through is back. Back to who you actually are right now. What you want to say today. What only you can do in exactly the way you do it now.
That's what we build from.
The work is genuinely good. Clients are happy. But something about your brand is less interesting than you are and you can't put your finger on why. People find you. They just don't feel you. There's a version of you not quite making it onto the page.
One layer removed from your own life, you access things you'd never let yourself say directly. I learned more about myself playing a half-elf druid named Essie than in years of therapy. When I became the Dungeon Master, I realized I'd been building worlds for other people the entire time. That's what I'm here to do for yours.
Three "final" versions of your brand in two years. Each one felt right for about six weeks and then started to itch. You know by now it's not the colors or the fonts. So you start over. Again.
You do a lot of things and all of them are genuinely you and none of them fit in a bio. You've tried picking one thing. It felt like amputating something. You're not unfocused. You just haven't found the thread that connects everything yet.
You write the real caption, or maybe its a journal entry read it back, and the post something that feels way safer. The thing that actually sounds like you gets rewritten into something nobody could possibly object to.
Build Your Brand World
Before we build anything I ask you what you want this to feel like. Not what you want to achieve — how you want to feel when it's done. What world are we building. What do you actually want. For most adventurers this is the first time anyone has asked that question and actually meant it. You meet your party. The campaign begins.
The call: what are we building, and what do you actually want from it.

Session one
Your backstory, your origin, your motivations — the history that explains why you move through the world the way you do. Most creative women have been trying to explain themselves by starting in the middle of their story. We go back to the beginning. That's where the brand story actually lives. You start to see the through line you've been living but never named.
The call: trace the thread. Your brand has always been telling a story. Let's find out what it actually is.
Session two
Your zone of genius, your skills, your actual magic. What is it that you do that nobody else can do in exactly the way you do it? This is where your offers get reframed in your language, with your logic — not someone else's template that sort of fits if you squint. A lot of adventurers cry in this one. Not because it's sad. Because they've been underselling themselves for years and they finally see it clearly.
The call: claim it. Stop describing what you do and start owning what you actually are.
Session three
You build the map of your realm. Named locations, residents, rules, atmosphere. Your world made visible. This is where the brand becomes a place someone can walk into and see themselves inside of — not just a description of what you do. It's the difference between a brand that informs and a brand that pulls someone through the portal. Messaging lives here too — once you know what the world is, describing it becomes the easiest thing you've ever written.
The call: build the world. What does it feel like to be inside your brand. Now how do you say that out loud.
Session four
A real strategy built on everything you just made. Honest next moves, honest timelines. A roadmap you can actually follow because it came from your world — not a framework handed to you. You know who you are. You know where you came from. You know your magic. You know your world. The Quest Log is just writing it down.
The call: what do you do next, honestly. Not what should you do. What are you actually going to do.
Session five
This month you go live in the world you built. You explore it. You make things from inside it. You post from this place, pitch from this place, show up as this character. You return from your quests with a new POV. You collect evidence of your own becoming. This is where stage change actually happens — not in the building. In the living.
The call: what do you do next, honestly. Not what should you do. What are you actually going to do.
Session six
"Katelyn helped me get clear on what truly matters in my business. As a creative, it's easy to get swept up in ideas and inspiration, which can sometimes leave me feeling scattered. She helped me understand the power of structure."
"Katelyn helped me work through my mindset in a thoughtful way, cheered me on as I took the next step, and guided me through how to talk about my new positioning in my marketing. I booked at the highest price I'd ever charged."
"There would be times when I felt overwhelmed or I wished I was at the same stage as the other women in our group. Katelyn would virtually hold my hand and remind me to give myself some grace and be patient with the process. She reminded me to celebrate my successes. Katelyn is such a passionate creative but an even more compassionate coach. I highly recommend learning from someone who truly cares about your journey."
I went from being deeply dissatisfied at a desk job, to using my creativity to build my dream life. Working with Katelyn allowed me to deeply rethink my relationship with money and rethink how I've been investing my time and energy. Katelyn teaches from experience and is one of the most genuine humans you'll meet.
– Gen, mentee (now full-time photographer)
I was so busy trying to find the right category that I forgot I'd already built the thing. I looked back at my photography business and saw it clearly — it wasn't a brand. It was a world. Couples didn't hire me for my gear or my packages. They hired me because they wanted to live inside what I had built. I was worldbuilding the entire time. I just didn't have a name for it.
You can't replicate a world by just choosing a niche. A world is yours and only yours. Now you just have to go create it. That's what I'm here to help you do.
I started my photography business in 2014, and I really loved it. For years, the people, the stories, the making something beautiful out of someone's most important day really lit me up. I made six figures year after year, got published in big magazines, had some really incredible experiences, but also eventually...really burnt out.
The business kept going and so did I but one dayI just stopped loving it the way I used to. So I did what you do to feel something again, I pivoted. I became a photography business coach. Then I tried human design and astrology readings, and coaching on money too! (narrator voice: spoiler, that didn't last). I feel like I flung myself in every direction except back toward the thing I'd always actually loved, which was people's stories. Who they were. What they were trying to say.
In BYBW, we focus on writing, thinking, side questing, letting things integrate because building takes time! Creativity needs room. So does identity-level change. Everything here is designed to grow your trust in yourself.

Not even a little. You don't need to have played, watched, or even know what a d20 is. The framework borrows the structure — character creation, world building, the quest — because it works. Don't worry, you'll get it!
Every session is recorded. Replays are yours. Circle keeps you connected and Kate reviews work async between sessions.
Any creative business. Photographers, coaches, designers, writers, artists, makers. If your brand doesn't feel cohesive or magnetic, this is for you. If you've been in business a while and something has shifted — you have, your clients have, your life has — and the brand hasn't caught up yet, this is especially for you
Yes. Most adventurers in this cohort already have an established business. We're not building from zero — we're taking what you already have and building the world around it. The brand you built when you started is not the brand you need now.
One to two 90-minute live sessions per month plus one to two hours of work between sessions. If you show up and do the prompts, you leave with a complete brand world.
If your brand doesn't feel like you, you're ready. If you're tired of starting over, you're ready. If you read this page and felt something, well that's your answer.
